PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the National Organization of Immigrant and Visible Minority Women
of Canada (NOIVMWC) web site.
NOIVMWC is an umbrella national organization representing a cross section of national women's groups and individual members from across Canada. It was created in 1986 to form a united national voice to ensure equality for immigrant and visible minority women within bilingual Canada. NOIVMWC advocates for various issues affecting immigrant and visible minority women. We have made significant progress on many fronts and our activities are becoming more important, considering the increasing diversity of the Canadian population.
On this website you can find information about NOIVMWC's history, past and current activities and projects, news from member organizations and information on how to reach us. If you or your organization would like to join or renew your membership with NOIVMWC, please print and complete the appropriate membership application form from our website and send it to our Office.
NOIVMWC welcomes the input of Canadians in its activities and discussion. Information on this website is updated on a regular basis, so please visit it regularly for the latest news, activities and updates.
